I’ve got no comment on today’s school shootings in the US or the school attack in China a few days ago. Now is not the time. However, in 2009 Charlie Brooker’s Newswipe covered the way in which these stories are covered and why this kind of prurient “rubber necking” is not just distasteful but actively dangerous.
I think this is important to watch again.
