Verifying older elections (pre-internet) was pretty tricky, but I think it’s right.


1989 European Elections: Labour, Hertfordshire, V S Anand. 2nd, just in front of the Greens.
1989 County council elections: Labour, Hertfordshire County Council
1990 Local elections: Labour, East Herts Council
1991 Local elections: Labour, East Herts Council
1992 General Election: Labour, Hertfordshire and Stortford (probably 2nd)
1992 Local elections: Labour, East Herts Council
1993 County council elections: Labour, Hertfordshire County Council
1994 European Elections: Labour, Hugh Kerr, Harlow (ELECTED, later expelled from Labour)

2001 General Election: did not vote!

2003 Local election: Labour, New Town Ward, Colchester (Jane Green came 3rd, pdf)
2004 European Election: Green, Eastern Region (6th place)
2005 General Election: Green, Martin Lucas Smith, Cambridge (4th place)
2005 County Council election: Green, Margaret Wright, Abbey Ward, Cambridgeshire (4th place)
2006 Local election: Green, Margaret Wright, Abbey Ward, Cambridge (3rd, I think)

2012 London Mayoral election: Siobhan Benita (ind.) 5th place, and Jenny Jones (Green) 3rd place
2014 European Election: Green, London
2014 Local Elections: all three Green, St Pancras and Somerstown, Camden
2015 London Assembly elections (List): Green (two AM’s elected)
2015 London Assembly elections (Camden and Barnet constituency): Labour, Andrew Dismore (elected)
2015 London Mayoral election: Sian Berry (Green) 3rd place, and Caroline Pidgeon (Lib Dem!) 4th place
2015 General election: Natalie Bennett (Green)
2016 EU Referendum: Remain (the leave side won)
2017 General election: Natalie Bennett (Green) 4th place.
2017 Local Elections: Greens. Not very well in that Sheffield ward.
2018 Local Elections: Greens. 2nd place. (They won that ward the next year)
2019 European Elections: Greens. They won a seat in the Eastern region.
2019 General Election: Spoilt my ballot paper for the first ever time (Braintree Constituency)
