Lib Com seem to be doing a series on the First World War and have a whole historical book’s worth on the North London anti-war movement. I hope to get time to read it!

The Times reviews Love Letters of the Great War – again – I don’t have time to get the book but it sounds worth a look.

The Guardian on the National Archive and it’s release of tribunal reports of people trying to avoid getting sent to the front. A great many of these were people saying their mother was too ill to be left, or their work was essential to the economy – but those stories are no less fascinating and heart breaking than those who opposed the war itself. The Independent writes on the same story.
